This has to be one of my favorite drawings I've done. I got the reference picture from a National Geographic picture. :iconsoyrwoo: located the picture online here [link]
The fur was a bit of a pain, but I like how it came out. Like the photo I kept the background blurry and I love how well it turned out.

Done with 8b and 4b pencils, 4b and 2b mechanical pencils, kneedable eraser, eraser pencil, blending nubs, tissue and smooth bristol paper, and about 25 hours

** Update **
I rescanned the drawing. The old scan was way darker, and some of the details were lost. This scan is a lot closer to what the actual drawing looks like.

really beautiful work with the fur, must have taken forever
and i love the effect the blurred background has:)
just the pups eyes and snout look a little strange, but i don't know what the original pic looks like

The fur did take a while, but I didn't mind. The pup was a bit of a pain. It was in heavy shadow in the original picture to, so it never seemed to look just right. It's pretty close. If I could find the picture online I'd put a link to the reference pic.
